I spent the weekend working on nonknitting related items.
I painted my bathroom on Friday. It really needed it. The previous owners tried to use color throughout the house but picked colors just a shade to gray for my tastes.
Here is the before:
And here is the after:
Saturday I did make it to Sweater Club at Yarns and Fabrications for the first time. So I guess I did get 2 whole hours to knit this weekend.
The other big Saturday event was to take my daughter to get an Ipod Touch. She saved and saved and did many jobs around our house. She was so excited. I got one too because I am trying to consolidate some of my electronics. I now have the touch to use for my music and calendar and address book. I have to say it is very fun and easy to use, not that I have everything transferred over. The kids of course had to download many apps and play with it more than me.
Sunday I had to work on some baby quilts. I quilted two and got another one loaded on the frame. Sorry, no pictures, maybe it will be sunny tomorrow.
Tonight I am going to finish the Snow Petal socks and finish writing up the pattern so I can get it out to test knit tomorrow.

Quilts and Things
I started two socks for March. This one is my own design. I started the pattern in November at a Cookie A class. You might have seen it on her blog. That one was in pink. I think I will name it Snow Petals.
This one is Atlantis by Janel Laidman. It is turning out beautifully.
The last week has been very full. I went to a quilt retreat over the weekend and got 3 baby quilts put together. Besides these quilts I made two more box bags.
I also had time to begin the Solid Socks March April Mystery. I am through clue 3.
I will try to get them and quite a few others quilted in the next few weeks. Although Spring has come and the yard is calling.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Well I was very busy finishing up my Ravelympics knitting. I have to say it was a challenge (the point I know). I really enjoyed working on this sweater.
The pattern is Favorite Cardigan by Wendy Bernard. I did have it finished by the closing ceremonies. I have already cast on another sweater for the Knitmore girls Mondo Cable KAL. I hope to have pictures soon.
Of course there has been much running of children. We have had piano lessons, an Open House, Doctor appointments, an art show, volunteering at school. The list is never ending.
This is what I did for my youngest yesterday. I made a trip to Ikea and updated his bedroom. There was this bookcase:
To organized this mess:
Can you tell my children are Lego-aholics?
And then there was this dresser:
To replace this one that I put together for myself when I was in High School. (Far too long ago to contemplate)
Putting these two together of course took most of the afternoon but I managed. I was only a half an hour late to knit night at Borders. I did meet someone new and now have a new blog to watch. For the Love of Fiber (linked at the side.)
